I believe I should found an art collective. This is probably just a result of my reading about Der Brucke instead of doing my homework, but I think, on the whole, it would be pretty neat. I know two artists, at least, and in these modern times multi-media seems like the best way to go. Which is a roundabout way of saying that my periodic urge to make a magazine has popped back up. Nothing fancy - just something striking, on cheap paper, in black and white. Of course, being an Art Movement, we could call it a manifesto, or a prgramme, or a leaflet, or a pamphlet, or something similarly elevated. The only problem being the need to cook-up a sort of justification for the group's existence. And, limited in my knowledge of contemporary art as I am, and unwilling to go all the way to St. Kilda, this renders problems. Does the bourgeoisie still need overthrowing? Nonetheless, I should go pester Maggie and Kate about this. And see if i can get a deal on carving tools for making woodcuts. Also, bean-flavoured cheddar is not that great grilled, an acquired taste straight, and absolutely delicious in a sandwich. And I restarted my painting as a self-portrait. It's not great, but it's coming along okay. I'm letting it dry so I can build-up the next layer. Also, covers of well-known songs on the keyboard! I would direct link but sometimes you just can't catch a break. Tags: cheese, marxism, pipe dreams Current Location: a castle in the air Current Mood: revolutionary
